Danilo Coppola

Danilo born on 1996 in Trapani, Sicily, Italy. From when he was a child starts to study and practise theatrical and musical activities, studying ballet and violin. He studied scenography/set-design at Accademia di Belle Arti in Palermo with special artistic mention and started to work as set and costume designer, including opera houses and film industry. He especially started his first artistic experience in Italy, as well as international theaters. He signed set design and costume production in Teatro Massimo in Palermo and Luglio Musicale Trapanese (Il Matrimonio segreto and Il Maestro di Cappella, F. Gnecco‘s La Prova di un‘opera seria, P. Viardot‘s Cendrillon and Offenbach‘s Ba-ta-clan). ..other

From 2020 he got a mention as Director of set-design opera production at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese. Moreover he is regularly involved in Teatro Coccia in Novara, where he was costume design and concept on many productions, like La Traviata and Aida (in Montecretese, Verbania). Last works include set designs for Carmen and L‘Italiana in Algeri in Milan. On 2020 he did 2020/2021 opening season production at Teatro Coccia in Novara, performing Pergolesi Stabat Mater, signing sets and costumes; ‘Cassandra’ and ‘Cinque cerchi in un quadrato’. Moreover on January 2021 he signs Gianni Schicchi scenography at Teatro Municipale in Piacenza. Next engagements including a new production of Pergolesi Stabat Mater, Viardot’s Cendrillon, Madama Butterfly, La Traviata, Donizetti’s Convenienze e Inconvenienze Teatrali and La Rondine by G.Puccini.
